Research

As a permanent scientist at the Leibniz Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops (Grossbeeren, Germany), I focus my research on the adaptive responses of plant species, whether genetically modified or wild, to environmental stresses caused by biotic or abiotic agents. In that sense, I access and analyze the changes in the primary and specialized metabolism compounds, which are the final products of gene expression.

Applications:

• Natural products chemistry

• Phytomedicines

• Plant ecophysiology

• Plant breeding

• Biodiversity studies

For that, I rely on LC-MS, GC/MS and NMR based metabolomics to get multidimensional data, physiological and environmental parameters, and chemometrics to integrate the results
